Everthing Ghanaian and even more in one place

Dede, Vorsah give Appiah hope

Vorsah Blond 01.13Black Stars coach, Kwasi Appiah, could heave a sigh of relief with the prospects of a quick return of Andre Dede Ayew and Isaac Vorsah, two prominent players of his squad, who are currently recuperating from various injuries.

This could be to the delight of the entire handlers of the Stars and officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) who intend to pay the Marseille star a visit at his base.

The handlers’ delight is in an emerging report from Marseille that Dede’s recovery has been quicker than earlier anticipated under the close monitoring of Dr Jean Pierre Franceschi, on whose operating table the Ghanaian youngster went through surgery to deal with a meniscal tear last month during the Black Stars crucial second leg play-off against the Pharoahs of Egypt in Cairo.

Confirming this to the Graphic Sports yesterday, GFA spokesperson, Ibrahim Sannie Daara, said the handlers were delighted at the rather quick pace of recovery of the midfield warrior of the Stars.

He disclosed that either a GFA member or Coach Appiah would pay the player a visit in France as a means of support for Dede.

Besides Dede the handlers of the senior national team are relishing the return of defender Isaac Vorsah next month after a long lay-off following a cruciate ligament.

Sannie was delighted to learn that the steelman, who had not played for the Stars since the last Africa Cup of Nations, will be available for the team.

In the past few months, some key players of the team, notable among them Jonathan Mensah and Sulley Muntari, have returned to action to ease the worries of Coach Appiah as he prays for sustained good health of his key men to anchor Ghana’s World Cup campaign in Brazil.
